when i put my headlights on as normal the dash doesn't light up but I get full beam on

when i put the lower fog lights on, the main beam will come on, and so will the dash lights, but as soon as i turn the lower fogs off, the headlights switch to main beam

i have checked the main beam switch (pushed it back and forth) but it doesn't make any difference.

any ideas?

all the fuses are ok.

tried checkin eveything i could think of. when i turn the lights on, to the first position (where my sidelights would normally come on) nothing happens! although i know my sidelights are working because they stay on with the turbo timer.

when i move the switch to the next position where my headlights would normally come on, the main beam appears  even though the flash / indicator stalk is in the right position.

when i put my fog lights on the main beam goes to normal headlight

damn i'm confused

got it fixed, everythings working o.k. now
