cooling dilema!!

hi guys!

just got my engine running on sat after a year off the road

my dilema is:-

i have binned viscous fan and aircon/ back up elec fan,

buy want to get zed on the road asap!

1)do i buy a koyo or haste rad and stick an elec fan to it!

2)do i wait for ash rad fan and shroud set-up which may take a while as i dont think rad are made yet and group buy!

3)screw on viscous and hope i dont need back up fan

4)leave it sat in corner!

if option 1 why do most people fit koyo even though haste rad has better spec??

any sensible suggestions greatly recieved!!

regards steven

The backup fan should never come on, its an emergency backup for severe overheating because of a cooling system fault. The viscous fan does the job of keeping the temps down.

Some will also argue that the Elec fan is for the Aircon only (although I dont agree).

For peace of mind why not fit the Viscous, and put the elec fan back on ? If you dont have them then they are available from most traders 2nd hand.

The koyo is chosen over the Haste as the Haste is relatively unknown..in fact until very recently I had never heard of it.

Put the viscous fan back on as there's no benefit in having electric anyway
