Well my patience has been tested and i think it's gone with the purple nasty.

 

I just don't think i want to chuck any more money at it :(

 

i've spent nearly 2000 on it in the past couple of months and now it needs even more work doing.

 

I think i'm going to break it cause it's worth naff all.

 

I'll have a think about it first but to be honest it's been on my mind for a while now, the terrible fuel economy as a day to day car, the fact i never really get to drive it like i should do and the endless problems with the suspension especially the HICAS

 

I should have never sold my NA, it was bombproof, and ever since i've had this car its in a much much worse state of repair, the interior's cack and the first mot it went for cost me 620 quid.

 

Doomed from the start, so could be the end of zed ownership for me folks :(

It would be ideal though, had a cav 2.0 8v for a while and it was a cracking car, pity it ate a bottle of oil every week and blew it out the exhaust pipe lol

The 4 wheels need laser aligning badly, the right wheel is so far off you can see it with your eye, the car's leaning to one side so i think the springs are shot it and i've lost a brand new set of tyres in 4 weeks and 2000 miles

 

Nah the club shouldn't have to sort out my problems, i was stupid enough to buy it so i'm stuck with it now

Its a poke in the eye though matey after spending 500 quid the other week to sort it and find even more needs doing, it's never ending.

 

I've just done all the brakes and put 4 brand spanking new tyres on it to find i need more tyres and more suspension work

OK

 

1) Check MJP's site. He can have a new set of springs custom made to your requirements - height, stiffness etc. For about £130 if I remember right.

 

2) Get yourself online to http://www.tyretraders.co.uk and get 4 tyres at a cracking price.

 

3) Get it laser aligned sonny! Far cheaper than a new set of tyres!

 

Not much really then :)

 

Oh and ditch the HICAS if its causing trouble. Courtesy parts in the USA can provide new arms/ball joints and an eliminator bar at a great price.

Sounds good to me matey, just need ot get a couple of cheques in and i'll be able to afford it.

Always here to help the club post-whore! You wont find those parts cheaper than those suggestions.

can always try the car auctions for your run about? i got a nice 406 diesel for £500 and it lasted for ages!

Is it just standard springs you need? maybe someone on hear changing theres for uprated ones?
