Razo Turbo Timer

Hi all, I have one of these and after reading about the auto feature of other makes thought I would have a look at mine.

It seems it does have an auto setting (only realised after a year and a half lol). Could someone explain to me as I don't have a user manual how it works out the countdown time?

I have noticed it increasing while driving and decreasing when stationary cool.gif

Many thanks as always.

Martin

My understanding is that it takes a feed from the alternator circuit and works out how much effort the engine is working under. It then cycles up from a static start point that you set, eg. 1.00 minute. When you are at idle the engine and therefore the alternator is working less than if you are wellying it hard. The time goes up when you work it hard and goes down when the engine is doing less work. Mine is a Greddy FATT and it goes up a lot faster than it comes down. Sometimes I try to get the figures as high as I can just for fun. You may find looking at their web site or a dealers useful, like HKS most put out downloadable copies of manuals up there.

OK, the auto function works off either the rev signal or the rev signal AND the speed signal. If it detects the engine being reved hard then the time increases. As the engine is idleing or cruising, the time will slowly come back to the baseline setting...

I have the same one, but my auto function does not work any more! can you tell me what the dip-switches are set to on yours please?

It worked till i moved it one day to a different location!

Did you move the sensor wires as well??? Remember it needs a feed from the rpm signal and possibly also the speed sensor for the auto function to work wink.gif

Martin does yours have the 2 auto modes(SP and one I cant remember right now)?

You will find that one auto mode tends to set the cool down time higher than the other mode, but I'am not sure if the 2 modes get the signal from the same place.

http://www.carmate.co.jp/motorsports/ (Carmate sites normally have Razo stuff and info, but its all in japanese)

b12andy: I'll see if I can get the DIP switch setting for you if I get my car back from S.E Nissan this week

Cheers,

Hi, sorry to take so long, managed to have a look yesterday. All are set to on except the last one (I think it is either 4 or 5)
