Wondering if trying a set of wheel spacers on the front might stop my tyre wear if it's caused by rubbing on suspension - the camber is set correctly on adjustable upper arms.

Thinking of a 5mm to 10mm spacer so I presume I'd need new bolts.

Does anyone know of a quality set at a good price?

Hmmm just remembered they're not bolts but nuts so either new studs in the hubs or the bolt on type like Mr Bunny.

Where did you get those and how much?

My wheels are pretty tight to the outside arches so even 10mm might be too big but I want a bit of clearance :(

I didn't want to change my studs over and they fit on perfectly

I had 10mm for the back and 5mm for the front. The front 5mm when put on was too wide and the wheel hit the wheelarch on 3/4 full lock. The rear 10mm made the tyre hit the arch too. I put the 5mm on the back and left the front off. Mine is quite low though?

Cheers!

How much of a job is it to get the hubs off and can I change the studs easy enough with normal tools?

Knock studs out from the front with hubs in place...and providing you have enough clearance to get new longer studs in ?

Then just use nuts to pull them into hub...you may need washers on to pull fully home.. a man with your skills = piece of cake.............

Piece of pi$$ then!

Always thought the hub had to come off to do em :D :hyper:

Will only have to come off if you cant get longer studs into holes...

Put an old wheel nut on to knock old studs out so you don't damage thread... just in case you need to re use them
