I will be shortly, previously I've had 265 on a 10" wheel no probs.

Vijay

not the wheel im worried about its the arches lol

No probs with arches, I had 265's on my 19 x 9.5" rear wheels (and it was lowered over 40mm), but the tyres were too narrow and I would of change to 285 tyres if I'd kept the car longer with no worries about rubbing.

I think a lot depends on the offset? I tried 10" rears 19's...and they just rub the arches with 275/35/19 tyres on?

That would of been because profile should of been 30

darn the ones im looking at have 285/35/18.

35 is probably correct for 285 on 18's , will have to check on tyre calculator

I think he meant the profile would be 30 on a 19" wheel, the profile gets smaller as the wheel gets bigger ;)

30 profile would not have made any difference. Like I said, offset dictates how they will fit under the arches as much as the tyre sizes themselves. I have Uno's old wheels at the moment and he had to roll the arches etc to get the rears under with 275/35/19's????????????????

yes, within reason. Correct offset for the zed would mean they fitted.

285 is the width in mm, 30 is the % of the tyre width in profile height.

What you need to check is if the rolling radius is the same.
