Football is SHIT... end of...

I agree.

Far too much press given to a stupid game played by poncey overpaid morons

There is enough crap on TV nowadays anyway wihout this stupid game being shown on "normal" TV twice in a row. I think football should only be shown on Sky - everyone who likes football has Sky anyway so why not?

Richard :headvswal

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

sorry disagree.

if someone hasnt done well for themselves and managed to get 125m then basically i dont know what doing well for themselves entails

footballers are dim fooks, the game is crap and its not about sportsmanship its about making money and ripping jo public off with overpriced tickets and merchandise, it stinks!!

you could say the same about "BLONDE's"... :x: ...

...

sod off wozzer im highly intelligent and broke so leave me out of it pmsl

what fooks me off, everywhere you go people talk about football, nothing else interesting in their life. You go to the pub when its on TV to get away from it, fook me its on in the pub arrrr! Then for the next hour the commentators talk about the game you've just had to watch or listen to and then practically show the whole match again in replays, then every coont in the pub starts talking about it and games from the previous week ffs. They have banned smoking in the pub they should ban football to as its an infringement on us who dont like it as smoking is to those who dont like smoking!! Im going for a shit.

Best team won by far matey :D

Taylor should have been sent off after 10 mins

Butt should have been sent off at the death.

Got what they deserved....fook all

Speaking as a true Roy Keane fan, of course

Could be worse we could be the laughing stock and embarrasment of the premier league every other season..

dim fooks?? thick shits?? are they the ones chatting away on an internet forum countless hours a day, finding links for this that and the other to amuse others :nelson:

or are they the ones earning 50-100k a week travelling the world getting paid to do something they like, being able to afford what they want in life?

of course no one on here would have their lifestyle would they :o

bit like that old story of George Best, when he was in a 5 star hotel room, in comes the waiter with his Champagne, sees Best on the bed with miss world

laying in bundles of cash and the waiter said to him "where did it all go wrong George"

have we got a green eyed smiley

Aye! fair do's Paul. Suppose I kinda asked for that :D

Still, those days are now well and truly behind us now.

Roll on next season.

Sure is bud!

I just don't get what all the fuss is about watching a piece of leather get kicked about for an hour and a half and then all the "experts" moaning about it for another hour on TV :mac1: LOL

That dosnt justify the money they are paid for kicking a bag of wind about, what about the forces they fight for the country risking their lives, surly that justifys the forces being paid more than what they get more risky and important than kicking a bag of wind about? Its a business thats all it is its full of foreign players rather than players from the teams area like it used to be, no true teams left anymore

Great story mate

I still have to say though, if it were not for football most of today's young players would probably be in prison (if there were room in our overcrowded jails ;) )

I also think most players are morons who have nothing else to offer society. I still think it is wrong that a footballer can earn £100k per week when a heart surgeon earns that in a year and the latter saves lives  And even though Blair may do a crap job, he still has the responsibility of running the country yet some players earn TB's annual wage in a couple of weeks.

Yes, I expect most of us are jealous of their money, cars, lifestyle etc. But hand on heart can anyone say the players actually deserve said trappings just for kicking a ball around for a couple of hours a week, then falling over and crying, pretending they have been hurt?

Football is life for some people but as I hate it, I just ignore it and it (usually) ignores me :D

Richard :smw:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I remember the cack handed kids who were so useless in PE at school they were just told to go and walk round the school field or something. Thats how people grow up to hate football, its a deep psychological scar cos you were useless as a kid

i think there is a lot of jealousy around here...

im sure every signle one of you would take there wages without a seconds hesitation...

Thick people???? How on earth is someone who gets paid hundreds of thousands for doing something they love thick??

Im sure they might say that someone who spends every single penny they have on a 17 year old car that will never ever be worth more than what it costs thick.

I dont think they get paid too much, if that was the case then why is there 50,000 people watching 20 games a week? They bring smiles to the faces of millions of kids around the world. How many soldiers make kids smile...

Last time i checked the stupid yank c**ts are getting paid to blow up british troops, and they should get more? For doing something that a little man in a suit tells them to do?

Rant over

..........Thick people???? How on earth is someone who gets paid hundreds of thousands for doing something they love thick??........................Rant over

I don't see Wayne Rooney becoming a Nobel Prize winner, in fact his weight is higher than his IQ

They can still be thick yet earn copious sums of money doing something they love, because it doesn't take a rocket scientist to play football!

The players may indeed bring smiles to tha faces of many children but then football has also been a catalyst for violence and thuggery against supporters of a rival club.

And no, I do not hate football because I was no good at it (even though I wasn't ;) ) I preferred rugby and athletics instead. I just hate the game because of the unfortuate yob culture that occasionally follows it and the fact that it's given such a high profile over everything else.

Still we are all different and that is what makes us so interesting........... :D

Richard :smw:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

i deffo didn't say their wages were justified, but would you turn the £££ down

"sorry boss i dont want all that cash it's to much"

i also don't think a lot are exactly role models for the youngsters, but ANY sport now is big business, and the top people in those sports are role models

the england rugby squad, about half the team became millionaires on the strength of them winning the world cup, and non have done a tap since

same as a lot of our top sportsmen/women they get to the top of the tree ish

and the star factor hits them and never hear from them again unless they

start appearing on tv

just seems some have that nasty green eyed monster to anyone who earns buckets of cash, for doing very little, good luck to them i personally have no hate or like for any of them one way or the other, and the same way i don't feel sorry for them when THEY decide to screw their life up, they don't come knocking on my door when someone is ill,

i know a lot of footballers/sports people DO a lot for charity, but again it's easy when your in the privileged position to be able to, i know mister rooney and his intented regularly do stuff for cancer hospitals, and if it helps the poor kids who are in them brilliant,

at the end of the day footballers arn't taking from anyone who doesn't want to give it, the supporters know what their "idols" earn and they pay via the gate, sky via their sports subscription pay big money to the league to get the rights and pay big money that enables the clubs to pay BIG £££

at the end of the day if it don't effect YOUR life, why worry and get all stressed and spout out buckets of hatred for someone you will never meet or have to watch if you don't choose, CHILL

and this all started as a post about newcastle losing...

it should never have got this far because none of the newcastle players are "proffesional" and none earn vast amounts of money. in fact i believe most of them would be better suited to rugby

Could you be the stupidest person ever in the history of the forum, they earn some of the biggest sallaries in the premier league.

sarcasm. i have supported newcastle for 15 years. even though they never win a damn thing something keeps me supporting them
