People often fit the twin turbo engine to convertible 300ZXs as the factory ones were all NAs.

 

Can anyone think of other versions of other Japanese cars where people often put in a different engine which wasn't a factory option?

I know they use a Capri 2.8i engine gearbox and moded floor pan in Moggy 1000.

Well I put a Reliant 850 engine in my 700cc Bond Bug ! lol

Toyota Camry 3.0v6 lumps into an mr2 mk2 is a common

conversion.

Have also heard of a v8 conversion on an mr2 mk1 !

not Jap I know, but 1.7 volvo turbo engine into a Renault 5 Gtt is another one.

i've heard of a Renaunt Laguna 1.8 Turbo engine go into a Renault 5 GTT

SR20 engines into S13s... fook knows why though :P

 

There are a few RB20/25/26 engines in S13/S14s IIRC on sxoc.co.uk
