Right, I've got a pretty standard 40K miles UK TT in red with leather. It's in great condition but never been touched (original exhaust, shockers, everything really). I've added a poly bush kit, new calipers, discs and a decent piece of ICE. It's been dealer maintained from new and has had 14 oil changes!. Even the gearbox oil is bright pink!.

Now if you wanted to spend 10K on it to make it one of the best, where would you go, what mods would you do and how much would it cost?.

Teaser??.

A standard UK model with 40k miles and in very good condition is rare, if it was me I would buy another Zed to mod, I think the model you have is going to be the first to appreciate in value and by the greatest amount.

I agree with that. I remember watching a program a few ywaes ago, cant for the life of me remember what it was called or about, but i remember a guy had a totally standard Astra GTE he wanted to sell, people came to view the car but no one bought it so he took it to a Vauxhall dealer who did buy it off him at a very good price, they bought it as a centre piece as they had'nt had one in the show room for years, and the only reason they bought it was because it was low mileage and standard

Mk I Astra GTE? Amazing car for its time! Yeah it was a vauxhall but thats what made it so amazing

if i had 10k i'd do something interesting or different like a supercharger or a v8 conversion. depends how far it would go!!

I suppose this thread has really brought out everybodies individual slants on the Z32!

What you really have to do is work out if you like making the best of the driving experience, the appearance of the car, making it a quartermiler or taking a challenging tuniing apporach?

Choose your perversion :)

If I had £10k lying around I would probable sell my zed and use that plus the 10k to buy a 350Z.

i would keep it standard and buy a decent import with a few mods like zorst, wheels, suspension and maybe brakes already done then spend the rest on go faster bits
