i have a uk spec tt zed & the rad top plastic out hose has snapped :headvswal

 

so i have a jap spec tt auto rad spare at home but the autobox pipework is different :smash:

 

please can someone tell me why the uk has 4 small pipes coming out of it

 

when the jap spec only has 2??

 

am i able to fit an auto jap rad in my uk auto zed using an extra oil cooler??

 

any help much appreceated :cool:

you can use a j-spec radiator just plump it in same way, i think the additional pipework is to carry the fluid around the radiator for better cooling.

No idea why there are 4 pipes - but I'd ignore that cooling option and buy a separeate oil cooler for the box and put it in front of the oil cooler - It will keep the temp down miles better than the radiator option. You dont need to connect the pipes up for normal engine cooling.

On the UK there is a Y branch in the pipework to get the doubled up oil/water cooling on the radiator headers - as Bilky says go for a separate cooler if you can. The J spec had less cooling since it was limited to 112mph. The Euro spec had a bigger engine oil cooler and a diff oil cooler to cope with 155mph running. As if you would!
