There's as many arguments and scientists against the idea of global warming as there are for it, they just don't get as much media attention.

If we clean up the plannet and nothing was happening we end up with a clean plannet.

If we clean up teh plannet and something was wrong we save teh plannet and clean it up.

 

Or we could just do jack sheet because its unsuitable for people to make some changes.

 

The results here would be.

If teh plannet isnt in trouble. thank fook for that then.

The climate of this plannet is changing, fact.

We are only here because of teh unique atmosphere that surrounds the earth, fact.

i think we need to bear in mind that we dont own the earth ...we simply lease it from mother nature and she's not a gal to be messed with

Where I live we already have water shortage problems. Due to too many people liveing here and the government wants to build even more house's putting even more strain on our water problem.

 

 

We build on what were water/flood plains so the water when it does rain has no where to soak into so then floods everything and only ends up rushing off down over swollen rivers to the sea and is not saved to be used later when it refuses to rain.

 

We have naive tree's dying this year at an alarming rate in the south due to lack of water. Tree's help to clean our air of pollution so we can breath easier. More cases of chest infections, asthama, and other related breathing problems are recorded each year due to raise's in pollution.

 

I could go on but the apathy of those who like to simply stick their heads in the sand makes my blood boil.

 

I don't have kids and don't intend to have any either but I'm concerned for future genarations and what kind of earth we leave behind for them to clean up. Too many selfish people on this planet. Abuse it and due to the numbers on it now we will lose it.

I really did not like it at the last Summitt meeting that represetatives from Africa, Indonesia, South America and 14 other very populated nations basically asked America and China to fix the problem.

 

The U.S already resides living under a double edged sword.

 

-Everyone expects us to fix the problem

 

-No one likes the solution we give for the problem that needs to be fixed

 

-If we ignore the problem we are a selfish, self serving nation

 

-If we solve the problem we are a selfish, self serving nation

 

-If we fight we are tyrants

 

-If we try to make peace, we are weak

 

We would be to blame no matter what happens so this calls from a global contribution.

there are far more worrying things going on in this country that are a lot more likely to affect your day to day living than global warming. It may be an issue it may not. But i do believe the ever rising rate of illegal immigrants will be the end of britain long before the sun melts us all.

As it was already pointed out. There are more serious matters at hand to worry about climate change. Terrorism, Over population, War, Starving people, to name but a few. The world changes every so often and there is no reason to think that this is nothing more than the natural way of things. OK we might be making the enevitable happen a bit quicker but at the end of the day its going to happen. The last one was the ICE AGE. what would you think comes next........Yep! the HOT AGE?????????

i think at the last count scientists have counted 4 major ice ages in recent times (the earliest being around 800 million years ago)

..........I also think that most stories of global warming are shite. The Earth is just going through a regular cycle of temperature change; it was much hotter 1000 (yes just 1000) years ago and the south of England had temperatues similar to the Med at the time of the Norman conquest. Things got a lot colder in the 16th and 17th centuries and are merely returning to how they were.

 

Most tripe spouted about CO2 is just propaganda spouted by politicians to raise taxes so that the vast majority of the population will not revolt. The media love to spread the word too :xxx:

 

Still 2080 - I'll be 110 by then and hopefully being spoon-fed by a fit young nurse in a very tight uniform so I doubt I'll notice....
