I like to do that sometimes too. :)

I am so excited I might explode.

Currently looking into the logistics of going over to the Greenfields festival in Interlaken (Pumpkins aside, the line up is first rate).

I can honestly say they are my all-time favorite band and I admit to being a little obsessive (hunting down everything they've done...managed to get hold of a few very rare white label pressings of their very early work circa Honeyspider etc). Being a musician/guitarist/vocalist myself, Corgan is my guitar hero. The guys a genius.

Saw them at their last ever london gig. Or so they said the liers!

Looking forward to hearing the new stuff though!

Yup, I was there to :D Saw them twice before and it was good to see them enjoying themselves on stage again (mind you, the first time a guy had got crushed at the front a week before, and the second was after Jimmy and Johnny Melvoin (their tour keyboard player) got fVcked up in their hotel room, resulting in Johnny's death and Jimmy being ejected for his own good :( ).

A lot of people are wondering if D'arcy and James will be coming back. Frankly, I don't think it's important if they do. It was always all about the relationship between Billy and Jimmy, (he's possibly one of the best drummers in the world today and helped form their distinctive sound). And with Melissa auf der Mar waiting in the wings (who is bloody fantastic live) they have all the ingredients they need to come back on top form :)

Mmmm, yummy!

I saw them in Pretoria, a month before their last gig at the Metro. Sad leaving the stadium knowing it was thier last show in South Africa. They are my all time favorite band, not one of their tracks have gone stale. I'm looking into getting to one of their gigs in the Fatherland, doubt I'll get the time off work though.

Now have tickets to see them headlining at Reading, August 26th. :D Funny thing is, Reznors playing just before them on the bill and I'll be off to his rescheduled gig at the Birmingham Academy on Tuesday 28th.

anyone like a band called 'live'

They remind me of smashing pumpkins meets r.e.m

done a song called 'I Alone' from Throwing Copper album

dunno why but every time I hear them I think of smashing pumpkins

Nice one mate :D Will definately have to meet up! I'm going with my best mate (Gawd bless 'im, he knows how much of a fan I am and got the tickets without me knowing while I was away), for that day only but think we might be travelling over Saturday and staying in a hotel a) to avoid the traffic on the Sunday and b) to have a few beers out on the town Saturday night, so if you're around then you're more than welcome to join us :)

No James and no D'Arcy either. Chicago Tribune recently reported that the group's new bassist is Ginger Reyes (formerly of the Halo Friendlies) and Iha's replacement is Jeff Schroeder, guitarist for the rather obscure Southern California "noise-pop" band, Lassie Foundation. There's a few good, none radio rips out there in internet land. If you have any probs finding a good one let me know and I'll point you in the right direction ;) Not that that will be the end of it, my palms are itching to get hold of the CD, limited edition 7" or 12" plus one of the many promo's floating about...Did you know their studio was "burglarised" (don't you love American-isms?)? Photos for the album art were nicked by two fans who are now banged up in chokey. The pictures have been taken off most official sites but there were still a few with them on if you were quick enough:

Have to say I'm not overly keen on the Grim Reaper/president, Paris Hilton, saluting kids and crucified devil/business-man shots as they're waaay too heavy handed but the remaining two are great. Enjoy ;)

My order for the CD & 7" single of Tarantula has already been dispatched and Zetgeist itself is on pre-order but if any fans on hear can't wait before they buy the album (if you're a fan you won't be happy with a P2P rip ;)), the tracks have now appeared on t'interweb! And my Lord, they fVckin' rock. Very raw, harsh guitar tones and scathing riffs. Just been listening to Bleeding the Orchid...amazing :D :D :D :nana2: :nana2: :nana2:
