Engine water or coolant sensor ?

Hiya Guys

 

Quick question, which one of the two ; Engine coolant temperature sensor or Engine water temperature sensor relays their reading to the ECU..I´m guessing coolant temp and the water temp sensor is connected to the temp gauge...right ?
