Hey Everyone, right i got a quick question.

The last 2 weeks iv had my Z theres been no problem. But from Wednesday afternoon through the night when i first start the car up and drive off there is a squeaking noise, like a belt slipping. It lasts for around 20 seconds, sometimes less, then stops for the rest of the drive.

Then yesturday it was fine and today going to collage and back it was fine, but then on the way home from Asda tonight it done it again for 10 or so seconds then stops. Also if i switch on the heaters it starts making the noise aswell, but doesnt seem to when its dry.

However on Wednesday we had heavy rain. Yesturday/Today dry (and no noise) then rains while at Asda and makes the noise again this evening.

Is there any chance water may be getting in the engine bay causing a belt to slip or could this be another problem?

Thanks

Rich

Sounds like aircon belt maybe slipping. Just tighten them all. Or ask a garage to spend ten min tightening them for 20 quid. should sort it
