has anybodu repaired the speedo witht the common fault off stopping working as its deffo the speedo as the data scan was picking up speed readings when it goes off

and I have another set of clocks the with the same fault??

Try removing the speedo from the cluster and resoldering all the joints...

THREAD HIJACK!!!! Sorry for the hijack but mine keeps going off but if I smack the top or push in the connector on the back it comes on. Sometimes I have to hold the connector in for it to work - not ideal.

 

Any ideas Andy?

is just the main pins on the speedo head to resolder??? andy?

Ones I've done have all been on the speed head itself. All of them have been absolutely riddled with dry joints

Andy is right - I did this on mine and it fixed it - You have to take the speedo unit out of the cluster and re-solder all the little tiny solder joint on the pcb on the back of it....
