Anyone used an NA clutch pedal in a TT?

I have heard they have a longer pivot so dont need the booster.

Anyone done this, hoe effective is it? Is it easy enough to do?

Thanks, Ed

I used an N/A clutch pedal in my TT conversion and physically the pedal is shorter than the brake pedal not longer. If possible get the proper pedal and a booster system, it makes for a better car in the traffic. That is from experience.

So an Na pedal would not make the clutch lighter than the manual pedal without the booster?

thats what a clutch booster aids, it takes the energy out of your leg and is assited via intake pressure, so your thinking the opposite

using a TT clutch with a NA master cylinder will mean no assistance= hard pedal as old zed has already said :) not much fun in traffic, you will also walk wonky down the high street as one leg will be stronger than the other ;) LOL

from all the that leg work

just to clarify its the master cylinder from an NA which you need, this then passes through the firewall and connects to the pedal via clevis pin, but you will also need an NA pedal as this has the two threaded bolts that pass from master to pedal

also you may have to alter the pipework from the master cylinder as it enters at a differant angle on the NA setup, you could go custom braided line with m10 x1mm each end from slave-master, but just find a clutch booster, new idealy as both NA master cylinders and clutch boosters are rocking horse shit :)

You're not kiddin, the NA didn't have a booster

i did not mean NA master cylinders and clutch boosters in one meaning, sorry andy it was probably the way i put it!

i meant NA master cylinders and TT clutch boosters are like rocking horse shit, so hes better buying a new part

infact **** the idea of an NA pedal just buy a ****ing clutch booster for your TT :wack:

;)

Yeah i think that is what i will do. Someone mentioned swapping it over to the na setup would be a way round it, they didnt say it would be easy.

I have managed to locate a good second hand booster! Just depends if he accepts the offer I made him!

well i offered him 40 quid + postage for the booster as long as its good

if he wants more i'll see about getting one from the usa for £120
