me and a mate want to play co-op Battlefield over the internet and we both have headphones with integrated microphone. i think that only certain people can talk on BF (eg. the commander and perhaps squad leaders) so is there a way for me and my mate to be able to chat privately? im thinking of things like having MSN on in the background but i dont currently use that.

dont bother with MSM

get a program called Teamspeak, its what my clan uses, awesome program

its free to download and there are various free servers to join, i have my own private server, costs about 8 quid a month to rent a 50 man server

any probs then let me know :)

thanks for that Mark. just downloading Teamspeak as we, err, speak!

i need to get a new headset tho cos the microphone in my old one (literally, 15 years old!) is $hagg£d to bugg£ry!

if u want a new headset, i highly recommend the Plantronics DSP 500

awesome headset, NEVER had a prob with it :)

this is coming from experience m8, cheap headsets dont really cut it when u wana play games and use voice chat, i paid 47 quid for mine and never looked back :)

skype works well for this two, me an my mates use it now and again whilst playing dod

teamspeak 2 and also ventrillo and defo plantronics dsp 500 headset what you spend on these saves you money in the long run as you will buy headset after headset or mic after mic because of echo or speaker playback with the dsp its crystal and when used through xfi card even better
