Hello,

I just had my Jap import 300zx non-turbo automatic on the road last night, and I was wondering if any of you could tell me what the service intervals should be. It has 60,000 kilometers on the clock. Someone mentioned to me that I should really change the cambelt. Any thoughts?

Cheers,

John R

The cam belt change is only due at 60,000 miles, not km, isn't it?

yeah, but as a matter of policy, i always got this done on any car i bought, unless there was provable proof of having been done.

what year is the car ?

an 8 year old cambelt with 60k km (40k miles) is probably just as risky as a 4 year old with 60k miles, in my opinion

Hi,

It's a 92, Metallic Silver, not a scratch on it. I'm 23 years old, so the insurance was crippling. It's the non-turbo version.

I thought the NA timing belt wasn't due untill about 110K Miles. So i wouldn't worry too much. Check the FAQ's on TT.net they know a little bit more about them over there as the car was never sold in this country.
