I'm currently inestigating on 3ZC and i found this:

300ZX TT 2+2 -92

501RWHP @ 6500rpm - 1,3bar (19psi)

Paul Andres turbos (

(Paul Andres turbo are T25/28 thas has been rebuilt))

venom 720cc injectors,

dual airfilters with 1 maf,

2 moddified Nissan 200sx S14 intercoolers,

Megane 2,5" DP + exhaust,

Perfect Power SMT6 that I have tuned on the road.. (SMT6 = piggy back).

I run E85 (Ethanol not gasoline)

timing 20 degrees

and this very interesting thread:

http://www.300zxclub.com/showthread.php?t=56041&page=1&highlight=venom

Rich (Syko) has a set of the Venom 550s in his car, seem fine.

Someone told me, these injectors maybe got "another injection-rating", and

the ecu needs to be especially programmed for these. Is that right, or do they

work with "standard Equ´s" like JWT...

I like the deep price...

Thanks, Pat

Are they side feed or top feed?

Think ANY injectors other than stock will need to be mapped specialy fella

I sent them an email asking why we hear so bad things about them and here is the answers:

Well about a year ago we had a bad patch of injectors the pintails had a metal shaving on them and they stuck open.

We have since bought a new machine and have had no problems since.

Thanks

this are the one I'm speaking about and as I don't know that much about top and side feed so... :

I know. But do the 550 Venom need an other mapping then the 555 Nismo?

They inject the same ammount, but how about the rest?

the chip is set for a certain volume of fuel deliver. So sard 800cc, or venom 800cc will use the same chip :)

PS: Alfapatrick ,you're a fan of Alfa romeo ?

Hi bubuche,

yeah, I own this one:

But I think I´m gonna sell it, got a big old Volvo for winter, my garage is

full to the roof :D

And now, the Z´s my favourite, and also nearly open :p

:D Yeah, right

NZR

One question again: You say, if I´d get a chip, made for a 555 Nismo-injector,

it will also work fine with the venom 550´s? (Or Nismo 740 and Venom 740,

if the 5cc make a difference)

Greetings, Pat

don't really know about the 5cc difference but injector are rated +-1.5% so don't think that will make a difference.

NZR (non Z related) is another section of the forum :)

Dont go for the Venom injectors!

I had a set last year, and they started leaking on the top after a few kilometres..

The same happened to a friend of mine in his 300.

Some Swedish are repairing them with glue to keep them tight, but you can think what you want of that sollution.....

We were told that we got the new type of Venom injectors, but they still sucks.

For you who have them mounted: Start your engine and take a close look around the injectors.. I bet one or more of them are leaking :nelson:

My advice is to keep away from Venom injectors!!
