Noisy 2nd gear.

Help and Advice please.

I have a NA SWB with manual gearbox, 2nd gear is a bit noisy. Has anyone experienced this? Is it costly to get the gearbox reconditioned? Can anyone recommend anyone in the South East to do this.

    Rubber gaitor has more than likely come away from its surround. Remove the centre console and check it is firmly seated to the base plate. There's more than likely nothing wrong with the box - just when in second gear you can hear the normal noise louder due to the gaitor not being in place....
