All your porn.

Excellent advice :D

Possibly the Program Files folder if you have any important apps installed that keep data there - stuff like accounts software or databases... but you probably don't know what they are

I'd use something like norton ghost and take a snapshot once every month and replace the old one and if anything bad does happen you just put in the boot disc and it returns the pc back to its normal state again.

We used to be able to ghost a pc to windows 2000 over a network in 3 minutes flat at barclays, was usually easier to do that than try and fix the problem :D

Agree, if you dont back up the porn, you might loose it.

good excuse to get some new stuff tho!

i use Simply Safe Backup - i like basic ones where all you need to do is click yer files and folders and press a button.

i keep all my stuff in a folder called "C:\My\" and back that up every week.

dont forget about anything in C:\Documents and Settings, as some programs and games will keep your saved information here. this is one location i totally forgot about and lost some important stuff (like a Neverwinter Nights map id spent weeks making  )

I tend to backup my music seperately as there's about 6 gig's worth and i dont update it that often.

i also backup my Start menu, as it reminds you of what programs you had and how you organised everything. HTH.

Make sure you back up your address book as well as mailbox.

Just my tuppence, but I keep all working files on a seperate drive partition and get Outlook to store emails in the sameplace to make all this kind of stuff easier.

Personally I don't like auto-backup stuff as it backs up all the crap you collect as well as the stuff you actually want depends if you can be arsed!

i use an internal 4 port sata II raid with 4X500GB western digital drives. i use this for all my work and everything else, only use the 120GB drive for the os. if the os crashes you still have all your data and no need to back up. very good if you tend to forget to back up.

That sounds like a GUN..... :D

I only back up work files and photos. I would back up my address book but don't know how.

Great until you accidentaly delete something, edit a file and need to go back to a previous version or your PC gets nicked! :nono:

You still need a backup, RAID only saves you from a hard drive failure, nothing else.
