my cam belt is due for replacement, how much should this cost, i have been told £150 labour plus the belt itself is this good. cheers.

I would think it's too good to be true. I did it myself recently, cost about £57 for the belt and took me 2 days (scared diy). Nissan quoted me £240 plus parts and I don't think they could have done it for this amount - I think they quote a cheap

(ha ha) price just to get you in then bang a big bill in at the end. Real question is can you trust whoever quoted you the £150 - and if you can budget for £300.

i'd prefer to pay the extra and go with a zed garage tho,or nissan

hhmmmmm...just had my cambelt done at nissan for 220 quid in vat. better read the "absolutely gutted" topic and be warned man
