Advice please

On my 90tt I have developed a noisy cam follower that is intermitent maybe 30% of the time !

Anyone have (or had) similar if so is there an additive I can add to the oil to sort it ? if so which ? I do not want to put anything in unless its going to help as I really do not want to hide a problem if there is one there!!

Thanks

paulr

Try gettin a full system flush done at Nissan I think it will cost you aobut 40 quid plus the price of consumables (another 40 - 50) Quiet a lot of the time this problem is caused by poor oil deposits building up in key places for the cams.

You really dont wanna think about a cam / lifter replacement, it aint gonna be cheap.

Also check your oil level regularly and use good quality fully synthetic

Valve lifters from Nissan UK will probably set you back £50+vat plus fitting.

Try buying 24 of them without crying ;-)

Cam followers. Bloody annoying. Sorry Nico.

Engine flush doesn`t really work. This problem will never get any better.

I have just been informed that Auto Jap

Tel:02476-474848 have them re-con at approx 15-00 each.

What kind of oil do you use?
