Dyno today, good result but problems

Went along with South West Scoobies guys to Interpro in Bristol for a dyno run today, got 401fwhp & 400lbft at 5300rpm. The guy couldn't take it any higher as he said it was leaning out, he reckoned due to the stock fuel filter. I can't see this happening myself as I've never heard of this happening on a Z. Could it have been my MAF maxing out? Good news is that the it had linear power curve all the way to 400hp/5300rpm & was still pulling the same when he stopped. If I can sort this fuelling out I should be hitting more like 490 @ 6500.

This was at 1.15 kgcm2 (about 16psi) using a self mapped chip just to get the car running. I'm getting tempted to get my AEM in now & dipense with the MAF & get back at Interpro to map it & crank the boost up a few more psi. Should easily see 500fwhp with my setup, more than happy with this result. Even with it only revving to 5300rpm I still won 'Most BHP' of the day beating around 25 Imprezas & I have the award cake to prove it lol.

good result, doubt it's your fuel filter though. Probably just needs mapping, if you're still having problems maybe your fuel pump has seen better days but a fuel pressure gauge will give you a better idea.

Yeah gonna get a gauge on there anyway & I'll think I'll just get the AEM fitted so there's no other restrictions on the intake.

should be asble to get u a gauge on wednesday matey
