Hi,

Has anyone else with chrome headlight inserts got a problem with them pitting? I noticed both of mine had pitted and another set I had done (for a mate) has done the same. Can you check yours and see if I'm the only one? Quite annoyed with it cos that's over £200 wasted and I now have to put them all right :(

Thanks

Vijay

Anyone else cos I'm gonna phone the company who done them on Monday cos there's no reason they should do it as they are sealed.

I will take a couple of photos of mine when its light so you can see what I mean, mine were done a year before the group buy so you can see what happens to the pitting after a while.

Not good Bud.Have you checked for Mice LOL.Mine were sprayed with Alsa Corp Chrome FX, been done a few years now and still look as good as the day I fitted them. :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

exactly what's happened to mine :(

Seems like we might have been the unlucky ones vijay, let me know what they say if you get to speak to them, was planning on taking mine apart again and having a good look at them, not sure if they can be done again or need another set of inserts but I will back you up if you do get to talk to them.

Well didn't get very far with them, they will re do them with a 25% discount. Basically he reckons it's the release agent in the mould from Nissan and they should have never been plated. Why the hell did he take on the work then! He even said that if they re-do them, they will more than likely pit again :(

This is absolutly no reflection on the member who organised the group buy as I know first hand what a pain doing them can be but I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone as their aftersales service is pretty rubbish!!!!

i know this is a slightly old topic, just wondered where you had these sprayed? ive been looking at this alsa corp chromefx spraying and the results are really good! ive searched on google for places that use the alsa corp spray kit and can only find one place that does it and they are in norfolk :(

also, how much did it cost to have your done?

You can buy the paint yerself from their UK distributor which is chromepaint.com in Yorkshire, then have your bodyshop spray them for you, its's not hard to do.
