i have just been down to my local nissan dealer and they had a look at my car. I have been told i need a new knock sensor and they quoted me 24.5 hrs labour

Has anyone had this done?

and where did you go to?

Common problem. Most people fit a 1M Ohm resistor in the connector to fool the ECU into thinking there's one there. Your car will be in safety boost, meaning the turbos will only be boosting to 7psi instead of 9psi. It will also mean that the ECU is using the 'knock maps' which will further reduce performance. The quote for the time is a bit high though LOL. Resistors cost only a few pence and can be bought from almost any electrical store, maplins etc :)

7p from maplins

I got ripped off then , cost me 26p for two   i,m gonna phone up and complain :D :D

The sensor from nissan is around £170

Fooking rip off :nono: :nono:
