Everything works, but the remote start just turns the car over, but won't start it.

 

Any ideas?

Clifford alarms have a life time guarantee just take it to a clifford dealer, as mine had that problem for a while and it took them half a day to sort it, but it was free bacause i had the reciept of install.

daft question is it a manual?? if so you have got it out of gear?

 

also just a thought, your not trying to start it with bonnet up are you?

OR the valet switch could be on?

It is a daft question - it wouldn't turn over if it was in gear as that would launch the car down the road the same as if it started up LOL

I should imagine it wouldn't turn over if the bonnet was up either.

 

You could speak to Bob on here he's an alarm and audio installer so will probably know :)

?? actually no as some of them have a magnetic switch that cuts out the spark/fuel depending which is fitted, yet others just won't turn over

as HE SAID his remote start wont start the car but IS turning over, the valet switch just disables the remote start, i have seen them fitted by cowboys that will start the car in gear THEN they would do as you say

 

i have the avital fitted that will if set start the car if temp' drops below 0%

or you can start the car every 24 hours etc etc

and yes again depending on how wired it WILL start with the bonnet open,

similar to having a dvd player in the car that isnt SUPPOSED to work when driving, but an earth wire soon bypasses that

 

what i meant to add above, ie is it the starter motor spinning

The car wont start if it cant detect the signal to the rev counter or on the z its prob a feed from one of the injectors. The alarm needs to be checked by an engineer with wizard pro, or you can by the bits you need to do it yourself off e bay for around £20 but you will also need a laptop with a serial port in the back of it as a usb to serial adaptor wont work
