Andy hi, just been on the Skyline Owners Club website and they reckon the R33 and R34 calipers are in fact the same the only difference is the paint colour????

Have you or Chris got 33's or 34's???

Cheers

33s on mine mate....

I've just found a set on flea bay and just spoken with a chap who has a set from an R33 M reg only done 40K miles and will probably take a good price for them.

The only thing i'm unsure of is that the car was a Jap Import should this be a problem??????

As long as they're of a GTR they should be fine bud :)

R33 bolts Nissan part number 08041-2501A

R34 bolts Nissan part number 08044-4501A

This doesn't necessarily mean the parts are different but looks more than likely. For some reason Nissan sometimes use different part codes for the same part on different cars  This may have changed though now...

So they need to be of a R33 GTR?????

They look ok and i think he may take a stupid price as they've been in his bedroom for a year!!!! He was going to fit them to a Pulsar but since sold the car....i may offer him £250 as he seems keen for some cash, i think it would be a good price????

Aaah yes mine are R33 GTR... I thought R34 were the same.

Don't think there's much difference in the calipers themselves to look at - but the R33 do just bolt straight on so probably much easier.

They make a HUGE difference - the car stands on it's nose when I brake hard and I can easily lock the wheels up which I could never do before.

I've never got them to fade at all on the road but on the Nurburgring the fluid boiled LOL

Does anyone know how wide the R33 calipers are? The distance from my standard calipers to the wheel is literally 1-2mm thanks to 5mm spacers I got on there. In my case that would prove to be a problem if they were 1-2 mm wider than stock calipers.

Either R33 or R34 but R34 will need drilling by the sound of things where R33 just bolt on with the correct bolts.

I got mine for £350 including almost new disks but £250 is a good price.

The guy had spent £4K on an AP Racing kit for his Skyline and said he didn't notice any difference on the road but was intending to do track days.

Chris did you change front and back......i'm looking to pick up some fronts for now hopefully....also do you know what size discs i need?

Did you not see my post further up alex? Brand new r34 calipers, discs and pads which were fitted to a 200sx. The guy is returning his car to standard so he can sell it.

Think the disks are 328mm bud :)

I just changed the fronts as he wasn't selling the rears but I might do them in future.

Most of the braking is on the front anyway.

Not sure what size the disks are I just used the standard R33 disks he gave me with them and I've not had to change yet...

Why the hell are these R33/34 cailpers as rare as hens teeth. I am going to upgrade my zed's stock brakes. Getting R33\34 discs is no problem but what company sells the calipers???

If it is a R33 type M it actually has the same brakes as the 300zx TT So no good.

OOOPPs just read new page

I know discs need to be closely compatible to a zed. Skyline ones can fit with new drilled holes but i wonder if i could slap on brembo calipers from all sorts of different cars given they match the circumference of a brake disc.

Anyone know if the Brembo 340mm discs for the skyline fit staight into the R33 calipers or do i need a spacer?

The ones with the seperate bells

You need to wait until someone is breaking their R33/34 or is upgrading the brakes. Not that many GTRs means not many available.... Who wants the Nissan part numbers to ring them for a price? Should be a laugh :D

R33:

RH 41001-24U00

LH 41011-24U00

R34:

RH 41001-AA300

LH 41011-AA300

Bolt part numbers are above, you'll need 4. Go on, I'm intrigued to know how much they want :D

Is this info for me Andy ????

Depends if you wanna ring Nissan or not :D

Not sure on the disk size - thought the 33 and 34 were the same at 328mm?

If its the brembo aftermarket kit then you'll probably need spacers and also the offset may be different...
