I just got a quote for a zed on a classic policy from Carole Nash £330 Fully comp.....

Not bad - but they don't take into consideration my NCB, and I won't earn any. So if I keep my zed for 2 years, I will lose all my NCB?

If I transfer over my insurance from my current car it will cost me £500 - but I get to keep and add to my 4 yrs NCB.. is that worth and extra £170/year?

My last option is to transfer over my NCB to a mk4 Ford cortina shell I have in my garage. The car is strpped and is the basis for a westfield I am building at the moment... but insurance would cost would be next to nothing - I can keep my NCB going and get the cheap Classic policy.

What would you guys do?

no brainer m8, keep it running on a 2nd car, because if you did happen to have a bump in the zx ncb gone:(

just make sure the policy your getting on the zx covers all you want it to;)

I did what your thinking, insured a fiesta I bought for 50 quid, re-insured it every two years for a year, so kept and added to my ncb. Now have 5 years.
