Which ECU upgrade's have ppl got? How much? and what extra power did u get?

I'm looking at getting mine upgraded on my 90TT.

 

ive got a mines ecu from japan i think they cost about a $1000 im not to sure of the power up but in the region of 60 - 70 bhp it is alot.

 

JWT (a.k.a. Jim Wolf Technology) is robably the BEST alernative

 

jwt is a good alternative for ecu and i think they cost about $560 so good luck you wont be sorry

 

Nico organised a group buy on the JWT a while back. About 5 or so of us got the JWT. It was easy to fit and came with boost jets. Not sure what the power difference was but the smile on my face after install was stuck there for weeks.

 

All is still well with mine so would recomend the JWT.

 

Don't be tempted with the Superchip!!!!!!

I have the SE chip - I can state with certainty that it increases bhp by around 50 as I saw it on the rolling road as it was being programmed.

It pisses enuff fuel into the cylinders at high RPM to put a smile on Tony Blairs face but hey if you dont want Detonation and do want Hight boost upto and around the 400hp mark I would recommend it, as for our fuel it is about the best off the shelf chip you can get.

 

Of course buying a chip that is specifically tuned for your car and your mods and you fuel is a good alternative to the Off the shelf models. As long as the tuner knows what they are doing.

 

Oh yeah and "Without Prejudice" dont buy a superchip, it will more than likely blow the shit out of your engine at hight boost.

talking of superchips is it true they are being taken to court by Nissan? (this is of course without all the Prejudice bit as i dont know where i heard it)

I dunno if SuperShit is sued by Nissan or not, but they truely deserve it.

These incompetant morons are just changing ONE SINGLE BYTE in the Stock Nissan Code, and raise the boost to intergalactic levels.

 

I made the "post-mortem" of about 10 Z, most of them in Germany, any ALL of them had the Supershit, or a Supershit kit with a different name on it (Schreader comes to mind)...

 

AND...I DO HAVE the chips at home, and I would just LOVE to show the evidence to a jugde...I think this behaviour has a name, copyright infrindgment, and FRAUD.
