It appears i have upset 1 or 2 people with my post regarding the attempted "be heading in brum", it seems as though my bad wording was taken as a racist comment with my miss use of the word ALL (i believe) macking accusations of all people from ethnic minorities being accused. This was in no way intended i was mealy trying to point out that racism effects both sides and not a direct personal attack on any race or religion as a whole. The point i was trying to put across was, some individuals from all sides of the equation are guilty of some racism one-way or another. As i said in my following post i work with people from all religions and races and they are good people, and in an ideal world i would like to see everyone live together peacefully side by side. I hope i have cleared any misunderstanding up and i send my apologies to the people i have offended.

 

For the people i have offended i am happy to send a personal apology to all those effected, if you let me know who you are.

sorry but i dont see why you have to apologise? if 8 white guys had tried to abduct, torture and kill an person of an ethnic minority it would be called racist and we'd be forced to do something about it. can we not call it racist when the boots on the other foot? i think its pretty racist to try to kill someone for being white. a lot more racist than someone getting annoyed over it. if it was members of the white community the minority's (cant think of a better word as you cant say what someone is these days - unless they happen to be a white honkey) would kick up a fuss and the white community would have to do something about it. the problem i have is that while these so-called peace-loving people claim they dont want trouble, etc they are harbouring people like this in their community (no one can try to tell me no-one knew. they claim its in the name of religion and were going to show his execution on an extremist website FFS!).

in ANY of the countries these people origionate from, if white people went there and tried things like this, they wouldnt last 10 secs before (racist or not) the indiginous(spelling?) people would either kill them all or kick them out of the country.

what im saying is that if their people are putting our people in danger (and they are, regularly) then THEIR community needs to sort it out. if they are unwilling to do this then how can they claim the want to live peacefully?

i can see what you mean but i think thats missing the point of what he was trying to say. its just picking up on non political correctness when that wasn't his point in the first place. if he was having a go at foreigners for the sake of it i can see your point but i think it was obvious thats not the way he meant it.

what im saying is all i see lately is people (usually ethnic minorities) picking up on anything they can (how things are worded, things people say taken in the wrong context) and throwing it at them.

The thing that anoys me, is everyone damn well knew exactly what Carl ment in his first post but wanted to make a big issue out of it by deliberatly taking it the wrong way.

Well i dont think the way carl portrayed black people last night was a nice thing to say,being black myself ive met a few people from this forum and all have been really nice people,but how do you think i will feel going to meets and thinking (i wonder if he likes black people?) i cant tell you how to think but do think the things you said last night should not of been said on a site like this i thought this was one big family i will carry on being a member on here because its a good club and there are so many nice people on here just a shame colour has to be mentioned instead of just saying MAN.

Hay come on guys, lets not fight over this please. I made my decision to apologise of my own choice, no one has forced me to do it. Having read the replies to my post and peoples issues to my post pointed out to me through the replies i realised i upset some people, and having re read my post, i felt it fair to apologise to the people i offended and knowing my diplomacy is much to be desired at times i felt i should try to clear up any miss understanding with the choice of words i used. :)

how i see it is (and its just my opinion);

america is open to all. its one of the most multi-cultural places on earth- but if a group of people (KKK, mobs, etc) start to play up they jump on them and any of the people from that same group that protect them.

why is that not the same here? dont like to say muslim incase i get called racist but is it not members of that community (and it IS their own community now - they have seperate schools, shops, etc) that are time and time again threatening the security of the country? the biggest problem i have with that particular section is they all go on how they dont agree with it but when it comes to it they are protecting the very people who are doing these things.

if a church called in all its members and started training them to kill people from other faiths just because they weren't christians (i take it im allowed to say that and not be called racist?) how long would it be before it was stopped? hours? days? CERTAINLY NOT 5 years and counting?

then imagine if they tried it in pakistan, croatia, etc etc which is muslim controlled? they'd be killed in a day and that would be it.

i think anyone even connected with these extremists should be deported as a minimum (thats just national security, NOT racism) and the people who are caught plotting to kill people, blow things up, etc should be hung or at least never come out of jail. why should they? all of you think for a minute of who you love. kids, parents, etc etc. if one of these murderers was to chop off their head and show you it on the 'net would you want to put up with it? (and thats aimed at all from whatever background).

errol: carls not racist to my knowledge. i've never heard anything off him to say he is and i really dont think he is. if you were offended im 100%sure it wasnt meant that way. i hate racists at least as much as i hate killers so i wouldnt say that if i didnt believe it. same for anyone on here. you dont have to worry at meets mate. i'd be glad to meet you and have another mate.

I have refriened from adding to this post purely because of how I feel about racism and the type (not race) of people who use it to their own ends.

 

It is a very emotive issue that every self respecting person has a view point on, from appathy to disgust.

 

So please for the sake of this club, and peoples friendships, can one of the mods remove this thread and lets all try to forget our differences.

So I think that Carl did a great thing by putting up this post in order to make clear any points that might have been taken the wrong way. Hi Errol, as said i wasnt making you out to all be rough, i was meaning certain individuels, of all races/colour, wheather its racism or terrorism its an issue we all have to live with at the moment but my choice of wording was wrong as explained in my apology. Unfortunatly it sounded as though i was picking on a certain groups. :)

taken mate. i can see why you can take that the wrong way but it happens. so does the local bunch of white s#it that comes bowling out the pub pi55ed on a weekend night annoying everyone but some of us (the neighbours, etc locally) got sick of it and started having a word. i dont care if someone's black, white, opaque, etc. if they're out causing they should be neutered or something equally as nasty. i accept that this type of scum gives people like me a bad name and i've been called a yob, etc on a few occasions but im not (white guy, well built, short hair-must be hitler). the difference is that rather than shout racist at the people calling it (not white's by me!) i go to the people causing trouble (and some of them dont know they are untill you tell them) and explain they are causing a problem. when they say "whats it got to do with you" (and there's always an answear like that) i explain to them it actually has a lot to do with me as im getting stereotyped by their actions so knock it off or i'll take it further (police, etc).

if everyone thought like that im sure there wouldnt be half the probs there are.

the big problem at the moment is that everyone is scared of being called racist. this stops them doing anything about the actual problems going on.
