Does anyone with a JDM 2+2 TT still have the tyre pressure sticker in their car (either arm rest or driver pillar)? I'd be grateful for the pressures or a pic.

TIA - Gio

Thanks - I got a pic of a Euro 2+2 version from a nice man in Denmark

What I am after is the equivalent for a JDM 2+2 TT. Since they've got different size wheels, the rear pressures are not necessarily the same. (They might be but no-one knows - not Nissan UK, Falken, Goodyear, Dunlop, Micheldever so far.)

The Owner's handbook refers to the sticker and the Workshop Manual doesn't say - so I am trying to find the sticker!

(BTW, bigmincey & AndyP, thanks for today's Microsoft moment :D technically accurate, answers the punter's question but of no actual real use hehehe  :p )

Now look here, I don't that sort of abuse here, I can stay at work for that !

Anyway, just went and had a look at the sticker and with very careful scrutiny with a torch you can just about make out 2.3 and 2.5 which is in Kg/cm or course - just to keep you on your toes. That must be front/rear, obviously for the 225/50R16 tyre size only.

And furthermore, it seems to show 4.2, which must be for the spacesaver.

 hahaha thanks very much. That proves you're not Gates-trained ;)

If the torch did its job, that implies that both JDM and UK (Euro) should have 2.3 front / 2.5 rear. Which is interesting given that the JDM rears are not just a different width but also a different profile to UK (Euro).

Should you use the same pressure for two different widths/profiles? Is 2.5 bar (36 psi) rear right for both 225/50 7.5" JDM and 245/45 8.5" UK? Is there a tyre guru out there who knows?

Nissan once told me 33/33 and on another occasion 33/36 but they were as confused as I am about JDM vs UK.

Cheers - Gio

Actuall difference in sidewall height is 2.25mm so pressure difference would be minimal.

Sidewall height=tyre width(in mm) X Profile/100

The profile on the tyre (sidewall depth) is simply a percentage of the tyre width :)

I've got a few JDMs at work I'll have a look today just to make sure... :)

That's interesting - the maths about the relationship between sidewall and profile is a) logical and b) new to me. Everyday something new (ta)!

Does the JDM sticker give the same pressures as the Euro/UK?

Dunlop "Tyre Doctor" hasn't got back to me yet so I can't report back what he says yet.

Thanks and cheers - Gio

Tyre size (width or profile) does not have a significant affect on pressures.

Pressure is determined by vehicle weight over each axle and the type of enviroment it is used in (temperature and speeds).

I would run an Import on the recomended Uk/Euro tyre pressures.

IMO +/- 1-2 psi within recomended pressures depending on your own preference/driving style

The consensus is 2psi extra per 5 decrease in profile...

Thanks guys - having located and checked some tyre pressure stickers of both types, the short answer is JDM = UK = 33 front 36 rear despite the differences in rear tyre/wheel widths. The long answer (with pics and a table) is here .
