my zx will soon be coming out of the garage from its winter sleep, i started it the other day since before xmas... and she was a bit rattly at the top end, i'm hoping this is just from old oil, and not a blockage or anything major... but is this normal after lying up a while? also i'll be doing a bit of work to her now before MOT what do you guys reckon i need to do to rejuvinate.

here is what i'm planning on doing before it comes out:

oil change (is any sort of flush recommended)

coolant change (again, any recommendations)

6 puck clutch to go in

decat front pipes

a bit of welding as the sills cracked due to a clampitt and a trolley jack.

any help appreciated.

yes its normal . all of the oil would have drained to the bottom of the engine. i would start it up and take if for a blast .

thats what i like to hear, but the clutch is to go in before i can go anywhere, noone local can machine the flywheel locally, so i dont want this warping at all.
