Going to check that plugs are actually getting wet today but last night noticed that when the throttle peddle is pressed there is a buzzing sound from the back of the engine half way down any ideas if this is the problem and what is it? when you let the peddle off it goes and when you fully depress the peddle it goes!!! It sounds wrong and not a pump buzz im starting to think this is the problem any ideas!!!

Any advice appreciated

Thanks

yeas it does, plugs are wet petrol appears to be getting through (pl;ease see part 1) but the bloody thing still wont start!!!!!!!!!!

Any ideas?

Thanks

GOOD Spark, fuel, changed ptu (if this fails do u get a spark) changed all fuses,??? im stumped??????????

Next thing is to check compression i spose but would expect some sort of firing!!

Is the vac line on the fuel pressure regulator? Although I doubt that would stop it starting. Have you had the CAS off?

All hoses are standard as far as i can tell as is the car - no mods, is there a ? on the regulator??? have not taken the cas off is that worth doing

Thanks

Andy

One the passenger side, in the rear gap on the upper intake, there is the fuel pressure regulator. Ensure the hose is still connected to this. No don't remove the CAS, was asking because if replaced incorrectly, the car won't start....

OK ta andy ill take a look!

Sounds like something being controlled by the throttle position switch.

At the back of the engine there are two solenoids that control the valve timing. The Exhaust gas recirculation valve (vacuum controlled no solenoid to buzz) and the idle control system. Can you pinpoint the buzzing more accurately? Use a tube one end to your ear like a doctors stethoscope.

Thanks for the info on the buzz its still there i will take a look tom night, cant see any hoses off all looks ok realy running out of ideas may have a look at the CAS tom night as well, diagnostics ok again 55 every time!!!

Forgot to mention whydoes the CAS have a Mitsubishi emblum on it??!!!

Leave the CAS - if its sparking then the CAS is working fine. You need to get a conzult on it really....
