It happens 10 minutes ago.

 

Me (AUTO TT Stage III) vs my brother (MANUAL TT Stage III)

 

We start from rolling at about 40.

1st time i didnt used my boost controller and at about 700 meters he had me at about 8 cars length. Damn

 

2nd time i had the lead and as soon as he hits 3rd gear he gets in front (he doesnt have a boost controller and he was working standard PSI) at the end of the 700 meters he had me for 4 cars length

 

Damn those manuals are really fast. I wasnt expect him to win.

 

Anyway I am glad I've lost by my brother who drives a 300ZX.

 

Next time we are going to try from standing still and 400 meters only...Maybe I will have a chance then

I had the same problem with my old auto.

 

Had a race with a manual Z and managed a few car lengths on him until he hit 3rd gear and it was bye bye!

 

Poor old autos just can't keep the pace.....

I have a auto and my brother has a manual I took him out in mine the other day and he said he thought thay where slitly slower.you should try to see if yours is any faster top end.I dont think i will be racing my brother just so he cant prove his is faster.

I have to say - 3rd gear on my Z is like going into warp drive!. Totally awesome! (Standard disclaimer: autos are equally as good etc. etc.)

If I had the money, I would use an Auto to get to work cus there is a lot of stop/starting but I would use my Manual for the Sunny weekends.

 

There ya go, no bias here. All it proves is that I'm a lazy b4stard.

Well the Manual has 5 gears and the Auto has 4. The final gear is the same so there has to be a point where the Manual pulls better. Obviously the 3rd gear is where it happens.

FASTER / LIGHTER / HAVE SMALLER TURBOS (WHICH APPARENTLY MAKE ANY LARGER TURBO LOOK PANTS)

So all the manual guys need to get with it.

When are we going to see a Manual-Auto conversion in that order :S
