Hi have a 91 ZX TT that wont start, changed the plugs to NGK platinum all coil packs fire the plugs when out the engine, changed PTU with another secondhand one, cam belts ok fuel pump appears to be working and smells as if its working??? Please help.

How desperate are you and where abouts are you ?

I could pop down and have a look if you like ?

sounds like the CAS plug to me. Try wiggling (tech term) the plug on the CAS when turning the car over !

Hi paul, what is the CAS plug weve had about 4 zx's and thats a new one to me! if you can tell me what and where it is ill have a go!

its on the right hand throttle body as you look at it the one with the oblong plug

Hi tryed it but still no hint of the engine fireing!! any other ideas - please!!!!!!!!!

are you sure you have got the right plugs in and not flooding them

Yah thay are the right plugs, been trying to stat for a few days but nothing!

Take the plugs out and see if they are wet. If you have been trying to start it for some time they should be well wet by now. If not your not injecting any fuel in. If they are flooded you need to replace them or dry them out carefully with a blowlamp.

Thanks for everyones help, ive just noticed that when the throttle peddle is pressed there is a buzzing sound from the back of the engine any ideas if this is the problem and what is it? when you let the peddle off it goes and when you fully depress the peddle it goes!!!

If the plugs are firing then it aint the CAS!!! Check the gaps on the plugs
