Jaylox,

1)do you ever sleep....You posted at 04:30...WTF??!!

2)everybody has their own personal preferance on every subject to do with things like exhausts and filters and at the end of the day they all pretty much give the same amount of flow with mild mods. It's when you start going for mad mods over say 500bhp that thereal difference lies and £ for £ there is not gonna be that much difference between the horsepower ratings increase i.e for £450 you may get a 8bhp increase but for £900 you may get 10bhp increase....know what i mean!!!

3)i have a Greddy Maximum Extreme which cost £960 and i think is worth every penny as it sounds the absolute NUTS,popping and farting and is not too loud on the motorway but loud enough for everyone to know i mean business. It has that really deep burble tone that vibrates everything!

4)Scorpion-too loud

HKS only fills one side exit at the back???

Mongoose only does quad exits???

Blitz-far too loud

5)lots of people now are opting for custom made pipes as they can be tailor made to suite whatever your needs!

6)to get the most performance from an exhaust system you will need to de-cat the downpipes abd use a cat replacement. But having done this the turbo oil seals will probably not last too long as back pressure is reduced drastically...

Just a few things to think about...

Paul

Someone remind me again what Pipes in that List have either H or X sections (HKS maybe)

Not that it makes any difference of course !! I would sooner stick with my Speed holes !!!

B&B ovals would be my choice with a standard rear bumper and lots of spare money ($1400) - unfortunately I have neither.

Jaylox, I have no idea who sells Zees exhausts in the UK. I was fortunate enough to buy this from a breakers yard. Visit www.zees.co.jp but be warned, the website is in Japanese so a text converter is needed.

Best bet could be for someone to import one for you.

Best of luck Jaylox

Robert.

Don't forget to get Cat free front end, a lot of the pipes are 'cat back'. Getting cat free lets it breathe better. The Mongoose cat back has quad 3" or 3.5" pipes (lot bigger than the stock but I can't remember what size) and are ok to live with (noise wise) if you do a lot of miles.

do u no where i can get front down pipes(cat free)for my mongoose exhaust, best price ofcourse,

thanks jay

I got my pipes from a guy called Mike Feeney, he does a lot with the Nissan Z club the link is (or was) www.mjpauto.com, another contact would be The Z Centre at www.zcentre.co.uk and SE (Sylvia Engineering) would also be able to give you a price. The set I have do not have a balance section i.e two 3" pipes front to back that are not linked in the middle - seems fine (and loud!).

Try these links for Mike Feeney

I've got Remus back boxes which have been on for a few years now. They are two sets of twin rear pipes much like the standard but larger and squared/oval kinda design. You can just see them on my rides.

Got them from Elite Direct http://www.elitedirect.com

The sound and everything about them is great.

My centre and front sections (no cats)came from SE.

We should have a link on the site for popular products used and comments by owners with links to where to buy. The exhaust one comes up a lot.

Grant

Blitz isn't too loud!

But at the end of the day you are limited to yer budget dude man, I have the Blitz and it's nice...hubba hubba! wink.gif

Best value zorst I reckon is the Mongoose, few of me fellow Z chummly warners have it and it's pukka. Ring Johhny at GPS for the bestest ever deal on that zorst! wink.gif

Be happy, and trust no one! wink.gif
