Your mrs did it? Get her to sell a kidney to pay for new rims, cut it out yourself with a rusty spoon!!!

I think it depends how deep it is. They are only dipped in chrome, so can be repaired and redipped.

Is there anyone that is reccomended by the chaps on here? mine will need doing soon also.

Errr!

Its a bit more involved than "dipping " in chrome! :smash: LOL

Anything that has been "chromed" and then damaged will need to be "de-chromed" first, then repaired, then "re-chromed"

Chroming and de chroming are both electric current driven processes .

Something a complex as a wheel will be very expensive to do indeed.

Cheapest option would be to have the marks linished out and just polish the underlying aluminium, then locally lacquer the repair.

It wont be perfect but it will be cheaper.

Look at my "BRMMM Tshhhhh" thread and you will see just how shiny you can get ally or that for sale ad of Jaffas with the plenum.

There is also an added problem with chrome wheel's, as the chroming process weakens the structure of the wheel, and only a few places will actually chrome wheels, looked into this a long time ago.
