Anyone know of a good site with instructions to change zed spark plugs.

I know of this one: http://www.ttzd.com/tech/sparkplugstech.html

But the pictures are tiny and have to indications of them, and the descriptions are hard to follow as they use part names that I don't know.

Cheers

Not that hard to do really.

1) Remove balance bar (be careful not to lose those O-rings)

2) Pull all the plugs off the ignition coil packs

3) Unscrew the two screws holding the ignition coil packs

4) Pull all the ignition coil packs out

5) Remove spark plugs using a 10mm spark plug thingy!

Then just do the reverse to put it all back together...! All you really need is a 12mm and a 10mm spark plug.

Ok Cheers. Would like to get this done at some point. Don't really know a thing about engines but with this car I'm trying to do most (easy) stuff myself,

a. to save money

and b. to get that warm feeling of accomplishment especially when a problem gets fixed.

Thanks for the help guys.

Before removing plug, just blow some compressed air down the hole to remove any Sh*t down there. If there is and you dont remove it first then it will drop into the engine after the plug is removed.

good thinkin pete

i spent about 5min trying to get the plug out of the hole once it was unscrewed, with really long pilers as they are really far down. Found it to be almost impossible.

Then relised i had the perfect plug removal tool in my other hand, the coil pack!

Thanks for the tip!

Everyone do yourself a favour and buy/make a 'plug runner'. 9" length of tubing that fits over the ceramic of the plug. Makes removal a piece of piss but more importantly - ensures you don't cross-thread them when reinstalling and trashing your heads... If it cross-threads then there simply isn't the drive there to damage the threads. Use to screw the plugs in most of the way then tighten with socket...

Also be careful not to break the ceramic when reinstalling by not keeping everything aligned...
