hi, can anyone provide a link for instructions for fitting the resistor in the knock sensor circuit and advise how easy this is. this is appose to fitting a brand new knock sensor.

The nissan garage have said they have spent enough on the car and even though it is under warranty said they cannot do anymore, this is totally wrong but what can you do!!!!

sheffield but the car in chorley at the moment

jesus that is a bit of a trek for you. I was going to suggest you come over to mine at the weekend because I am close to chorley but I think you need to get the car looked at by someone is a bit closer to you or is willing to travel.

I dont know who would be the best to call on around that neck of the woods. maybe one of the NE/Yorks guys & gals can help on that.

Why are they trying to get out of the warranty? If the knock sensor is inop and it is covered, then they should do it Nissan's way: take the bloody plenum off and fix it by the Nissan book. They are supposed to be a Nissan garage...

Trading standards would be my 1st idea.

Don t take no shit from nissan , don t go there being polite , tell them there doin it and thats that its under warrenty so they have to. tell them its not your problem they don t know what there doing , the ll have to sub the job out or your be consulting a solicter, if i lived closer id go down there for you ...

Thats not usuall for Chorley Nissan they're usually pretty helpfull, although I do know they hate 300s... Its up to them to fix it!

Why would they hate 300s

probably cause they have no 300Zx trained mechanics to work on one , all there s which were around when the Z was born have moved on . they can only manage micras now .

Yep give your local trading standards office a call, if youve bought the car of the Nissan garage with a warranty theve got to honour it no matter what the've spent on the motor (the fookers are always quick enough to take the money of you). Even the threat of going to trading standards can have the desired effect..... I just hope your local TS office is keen, Ive seen some that try not to upset the local buinesses FFS!!! thats what their there for

Ohh and dont do any repairs or fit the resistor till you speak to them
