There's a reason for that. They are a fookin fortune to run.

Yes, I bet if you need a clutch or exhaust you're looking at £3K each at a guess.

Edit - clutch is only £250 - maybe it's worth buying then.

Still, I bet it'll keep depreciating.

A close friend of mine has a burgundy DB7 Vantage Volante  and it's a superb car. Contrary to popular believe it is not much more expensive to run than any current luxury performance car (ie Mercs SL or BMW 8-series) provided it is looked after. He takes it to an AM specialist here in Warwickshire for services, etc and apart from regular oil, filter and tyre changes he's had no major repairs or maintenance issues over the past 6 years he's owned the car. It's been a reliable weekend car and he takes it across to France every summer to his summer home near St Tropez. You do get what you pay for so if you are seriously considering buying one of these it pays to speak to the various specialists, owners club members, etc. Don't buy the cheapest car you find and expect it to run flawlessly. Just remember, you can't run this car on a shoe string budget so be prepared to have enough money put aside.

the more expensive a car is, the more money it will lose. buy the merc cl55 amg. £100k new, i've seen 51 plates for £20k!!! 5.5ltr v8 supercharged!

really fast, i've driven the 'bottom of the range' cl500, and it shifts!

Cool!

I'm so tempted to get one - although I'd need to save up for ages and ages to afford one. It'd probably be better to put the money in the mortgage.

your always better off putting money into a house, but its nowhere near as much fun.

i always say, you can sleep in your car, but you cant launch your house!!!

Nice!

I would still have the Aston reguardless of depreciation, all cars depreciate its the way it goes. Look at the zed 30k odd car now you can get a decent one for 3-4k. To me its owning the car i want, its for my pleasure, if i bought a car for an investment i certainly wouldnt of bought a zed, think how gutted i would be if i bought one a few years ago when they where still 10k +, i'd be gutted now

If you've got the money, go for it. lovley cars, id know i'd have one. but i cant afford one at the mo.

i should be so lucky, wish i did have the money i'd be straight on the phone, it would be a serious contender as a zed replacement
