Old Fine or mabe credit

can someone help me out please, I remember a few weeks ago on here someone was saying about an old fine (I think it was a fine, or maybe some old credit) that was over six years old, someone else mentioned about a letter to download and print off to send to the company because the debt was over six years, Ive searched everywhere and cant find the thread, could someone in the know who can use the search engine better than me (anyone!!) point me in the right direction for the thread
