i've only had my car now for about 2 weeks, was driving along the m74 earlier today to take the car to the jetwash. was tootlin down the motorway at a steady 80-ish mph ( :rolleyes: ).

 

i look in my rearview and see a dark merc e-class come up behind me really fast flashin his lights. :x: . thought it was the cops, absolutely cacked meself :eek:

 

he then pulls along side me as he took the next slip road, it was a middle aged man driving with his family (kids in the back!!!!) just to wave and give me the thumbs up! :hyper:

 

has this happened to anyone else?

i had a couple of kid's knock on my door and ask if they could wash it for me.

 

thats a nice looking zed by the way.

tend to get smiles and lots of nods from blokes ... but also lots of jaw dropping.... why is it SOOO shocking to see a girl driving a nice zed?

 

anyways.. always makes you feel proud when people notice your pride and joy! :bow:

Every man and his dog stops to look at mine. It's great, but does get a little embarrasing at times.

...and if you think it's bad over here, you should try driving the thing on the continent. I took mine over to France last year for a wedding and more people were stopping and looking at my car than the enterage including the bride and groom in a horse drawn carriage etc. EVERYONE was staring at it. "belle voiture" was all I kept hearing. Felt like I was driving a Ferrari the attention it got.

 

Those others who've driven their Zeds on the continent will know what I mean.

it is only embarassing when ive gone to pick up the missus and i park in the high street waiting for her to come out and everyone is walking past staring at it...still love it tho

I was sat in cue of traffic , there,s a lane to my left , empty , out the corner of my eye i see a car pull up at the side of me , strange i thought cos the road for him was clear , i looked over and a middle aged bloke in a Omega smoking a cigar is staring at my car , sees me looking at him nods gives me a thumbs up and drives away !!!

Made me feel proud of the old girl :dance: :dance:
