Black new shape 3-series BM.

72mph in a 50 and going through a red light.

The light looked yellow to me but the speed was probably about right - out of town single carriage way.

I thought he was going to do me at first as he had a long thin folder about the size of a fixed penaly ticket.

I used my favourite phrase: "oh dear, I realise now I've been a right prat, thank you for making me realise my driving was so bad".

And got off with a brief if patronising lecture.

The copper even complimented me on having a nice car!

In your face, forces of law and order - Craig David will be out again this afternoon breaking speed limits in his auld Datsun.

I've always been nice and polite to police. It's not only the gentlemanly thing to do, but can also work in your favour. If you're honest with them, they'll most likely be ok with you.

No point in the 'what the hell have you pulled me over for' attitude or the 'all police are arse holes' type.

fair play to ya the licence lives to fight another day lol

I got pulled the other night (but thats another story....) plod were going to do me for dangerous driving as I went through a no entry, then I gunned it away. Worried they'd seen my plate my sensible side got the better of me and I pulled over (wasn't in the Zed). It was like a scene from 'COPS' they shouted at me from the car 'Step out & move to the side of the vehicle!'. I got away with a £30 fine and a producer, which if you ask me was very, very lucky.

very lucky.

i wonder if he was in a shit mood what would of happened ... 6 points and a hefty fine maybe?

I got pulled over by an undercover policeman before in my Nova GTE ( ) He was behind me and to this day I swear he was "riding my bumper" Either way I raised to the bait and was doing 55 in a 30 with him still following.

He was ok though and let me off too.

Twas years ago and have learnt my lesson. Don't drive a Nova!!

always find it best to get out of ya ar first when being pulled over, stand at the side of the road infront of his car with ya hands at your side, always be polite, i think it puts them at ease and you could get away with things that you usually wouldnt

If it'd looked like it was going badly I'd have said; "look, a terrorist" and pointed behind him, then drove off sharpish. ;)

Good advice - I'll get out of the car next time. I guess that way they know you're not going to boot it away.

IMHO, I'd only get out of the car unless they ask you. They could sight it as an aggressive move.

dont be silly, sitting in the car and letting them come to you is a sign of arrogence ("let them come to me"), they are always wary of approaching vehicles, they dont know if you are sitting in the drivers seat with a gun pointing out of the window

No beneficial herbs that night ;)

Just a little of that new 'crystal meth' but that's not illegal as far as I'm aware.;)
