Would this kit do, i read on another threasd that you can by kits from ebay... is this the sort of thing i need???

would this kit do it???

Cheers

Neil

Yep it will do it, you will need to sand it down first so its smooth then move over to the polishing kit :)

Mike

Yes. Set about it with an angle grinder with sanding disc attachment first to remove the castings and dimpled surface as Mike says. It's a long job to get it perfect but it should come up well with enough care and attention.

yep and dirty, be prepared for black snot for weeks LMAO

Oh yes. :wack: On the first one I did, I made the mistake of sanding it down outside our back door (it was summer and too hot to be in the workshop)...I didn't factor in a sudden gust of wind. Suffice to say the little lady was not impressed by the thin layer of metal filings covering the inside of the conservatory... :wack: :D

get yourtself a real nice facemask with the side filters, i got one for doing my stuff.

no black snot!
