Hi Guys,

I have got a swb manual Z, which has currently got full tein suspension.

As some of you will be fully aware it is so harsh it knocks your fillings out.

Therefore i am looking to change it any help ?

I like the feeling of stock suspension but my car at the moment is really low and i like it that way, could i possibly get standard shocks and use my tein springs ??

Any comments grately received.

The springs from the coilovers wont fit the standard shocks. Tein do make springs for standard shocks, and the eibachs are a popular choice - however neither will lower the car to the same degree as coilovers will allow. Typically 25-40mm lower than standard.

Take a look at my car in rides section.

I have seen your car when Tom owned it. You are sitting in my old leather seats!!

I have Eibachs (.8 inch drop) with standard nissan shocks (new) in addition, I have clamped down the rear springs with Grayston spring clamps which has dropped the rear by another inch or so.

The resulting ride is fantastic, not to hard but still handles on UK roads better than most. As for looks, well judge for yourself. It may be what your looking for, Im not sure.

If you are near Ascot and you want to pop over, let me know and I'll get the kettle on!

let me know if you are going to sell the Tein setup :)

Depends how much its worth ? Offer ?

Not sure mate. Depends on ie: condition/age (the usual stuff) and whether its a complete setup (Tein shocks and Springs or just springs or just shocks and whether the Shocks if Tein are adjustable or not ie: damping effect :)

Let me know when you find out what its worth Depending on what you have.

The Tein setup will be worth a fair bit if it's in good nick so sell it complete and it will probably pay for some new adjustable shocks and lowered springs.

They are in fairly good nick but i think the rears need a good look over a slight knocking when you go over a bump (not sure whether this is my bushs or not though), they are not damp adjustable just height. I will sell as a complete set up, I will take a good offer for them im not greedy. Any suggestions on price ?

But what have you got to go back on? I am not sure what they are worth used but i know someone has sold a set used before! you will need to search the for sale section to get some idea.

PM me when you have an idea what you want for the whole setup and when you are ready as you will need a replacement setup to go back on. Stock setup i have on mine is still quite firm and i gather still to hard for some people.

I think the last person went back to stock as his Tein was too much for him.

I have tein flex on my swb slicktop these were fitted in japan and came over on the hardest setting .They on the softest setting now and still quite hard because i use the zed as second car i can live with it .I know tein do various coilover kits HA/HR/HE/FLEX etc i know one of them is only height adjustable only because i had a set on my s13 they were a set daminging pressure and fairly hard i paid around £350 for them.I guess a guide price of around £300-£400 depending on condition.Maybe you can use kyb agx shocks and get leda to make you some custom made lowered springs to your spec .
