bob can you tell me if your ingnition ptu thingy coulf affect the volt/ampige going to your ice setup. good old johnny and i replaced my knackered one yesterday and now for some reason my tunes are larger than life and suffering no drop off at low bass whatsoever. could the knackered have been drawing excessive current do you think. oh and by the way lads the mitsibishi ptu which is supposed to be the upgraded one was the broken one i took off so it can't be that much improved

The best voltage for an amp to operate at is 13.4v, any variation in this will affect performance although you may not notice it unless the variation is more than a volt either way(this is why Caps are used for powerful installs)

If your PTU is faulty and pulling power from the battery then a loss in voltage to the amps will affect their performance, you will also lose 0.6v or thereabouts just from going from front to rear with the power cable.

I could rattle on about this all day but basically the answer is yes, any power drain will affect your amps performance.

I have it set up in my Shogun, i use it as a bit of a demo vehicle as it`s on the road more than the Z. I have TV, PS2, SatNav, Empeg and 3 monitors spread about the place!

To be honest though the Dreamcast is a temp thing i tried out, i had PS2 on the front monitor and Dreamcast on the rear. As i`m not a lover of the Dreamcast i`ll probably just stick with the PS2.
