:) Its back on the road....well for now. After fittin the shells today and a bit of work she lives again. oil pressure seems good(for the standard gauge). and shes runnin like a sowin machine. nice an smooth with no rattles at al.
thanks to all who give any advice on my previous threads.
i will be posting a step by step guide as to how i did the job for anyone wishin to have a go themselves. i reckon its quite an easy job for anyone handy, as long as you have a good selection of tools and you havnt driven the car while the bottom end has been rattling.
i was lucky as i switched the car straight of wen i heard the knock. i started the next day and the knock only came on wen hot at 2500 revs, so switched off immediately. i reckon i saved myself a lot more work and cash by doing this, so my advice to anyone who suspects a big end failure is to switch off and leave her parked up till you repair her.
big thanks to greg who helped me get the right grades for the shells.
