They are different.

UK blinds are slightly smaller as the UK cars had a rubber block fitted across the front of the targa glass to be accepted for UK crash protection.

Bringing this post back to life, can anyone advice me IF all UK targa blinds fit the tops? I can't see how a set would attach to my roof.

 

If I remember correctly you need two locating holes on each top and a slot to slide them in. (Would someone be kind enough to post a picture of the attachment?) And can these be retro fitted?

Yes they fit either - just the blinds that are different

To elaborate... I think the Targa tops off my old Jap Z fit better than the UK ones on our UK Z

I have never seen targa panels without the blind fittings.

I have UK T-Tops in my Z. Luckily I've managed to find really good ones as soooo many have gone milky down the sides.

Basically the 4 'bolts' in the targa top glass have plastic fittings on the inside which are the 4 places the blinds fit onto. If theyre missing, you'll have a very leaky roof!

Nope, they are deffo missing on chris's car as it was mine and I sliced them off when I tinted the glass as I never liked the dark blinds! The old mounts are (were) just bonded onto the black circles you can see in the above pic
