I have seen many write ups recently on alarms (as I don't have one yet...oops) and Toad seem to be always recommended.

So BOB what kinda price range would that set me back with installation and VAT?

I've had a Toad Ai606. Great alarm and never had a problem with it. I just wanted remote start so I swapped to clifford and to be honest I've had zero probs with them either....ive had them on 2 different cars, one being my last zed. Always used the same bloke so maybe clifford suffers due to the fitting errors?

As spongey asked, are there any other options for a thatcham cat 1 with remote start and window closure?

Not that I have been scared off clifford, just like to explore other options.

Just spoken to bob :D

Hopefully fitting a toad as mentioned above in about 2weeks, Great bloke very helpfull and will travel to you, Special prices for members too :) as he has done 117 cars just from here!!

Done away with the remote start as it invalidates the cat1 for insurance as clifford are the only approved remote start insurance cat1 and after speaking to bob for a solid, reliable alarm the toad is best.

Stay away from Clifford and stay away from GAP

Nuff said!!

If you want a good reliable alarm then go with Toad Ai606. I`ve been fitting Alarms for 13 years now and as there may well be other systems that are as good or as reliable i stick with Toad cos i never have a problem with them. At the moment we fit on average 30 a month and the return rate for last year was 2.

And thanks to everyone who passes my name on, it`s appreciated!!
